This information becomes very important to you when you receive email into your inbox. You will have 1 main inbox where all email sent to any any_username@joe.email-2-0.com will end up, however, unlike normal email accounts, our system shows you which inbox (username) received the messages, this information is shown in ( ) in the From column on your email reader.
For example lets say that you give your mom the following email to contact you

This means that some other company has acquired your email address from mastercard.com, somehow, and sent you email.
